Paint + Sip Social March 19, 7-10 PM Tickets: $20.

Osoyoos Lake Water Quality Society Fundraiser at Watermark Beach Resort

“We want all south Okanagan residents who LOVE OUR LAKE to come out and support the Osoyoos Lake Water Quality Society (OLWQS),” says President Birgit Arnstein.

“OLWQS doesn’t receive any provincial or federal government funding to help us test Osoyoos Lake during the summer months on our pontoon boat in five regions of the lake. Fundraising and membership fees are our primary sources of revenue.”

Adds Arnstein, “We test for temperature, dissolved oxygen, clarity, pH, and conductivity. We also educate the public to help prevent invasive species from being introduced into Osoyoos Lake (such as zebra and quagga mussels) and to prevent contaminants (such as nitrates and phosphates) from entering into the lake.”

“There are a limited number of tickets and we expect this event to sell out.  We encourage all Osoyoos Lake lovers to join us for a fun event where they can sip local wine with nibblies and help create a lake inspired picture with the encouragement of a professional artist.”

Tickets are $20 and can be purchased through Imperial Office-Pro and at the front reception desk of the Watermark Beach Resort in Osoyoos.
