Oliver, BC  – In addition to a wine and food pairing tent, 50+ Okanagan wineries offering tastings, a separate Kid Zone play area for children, 15 food trucks, indoor art show, and 60 retail vendors, FOG ’14  is providing outstanding live entertainment with The Paperboys, a Vancouver band that has received both Juno and Western Canadian Music Awards. As well, there will be loud, messy and fun grape stomping competitions for both kids and adults.

“For $23, (free entry for kids under 19) you won’t find a better family entertainment package than what we are offering at this year’s Festival of the Grape,” says Ed Dukes, FOG’s Entertainment Chair. “The Paperboys have a mix of musical energy and talent that will have our audience dancing and engaged. And in terms of pure entertainment – it doesn’t get much better than good ‘ol fashioned barefoot grape stomping where costumed contestants literally dance on grapes for five minutes at a time.”

Dukes noted that the number of grape stomping teams is limited to 12 in the adult category.  “If you want to experience the thrill of a life-time by grape stomping in front of a live audience, you had better get your teams registered early. We are expecting that this year’s teams will be the most competitive to date.”
