Jump On Flyaways, a Calgary-based tour company, has created a unique way for western Canadians to enjoy weekend getaways without the hassle of high airfares, inconvenient departure times and time consuming indirect flights.
“Canadians are tired of paying high airfares, taking indirect flights or flying at inconvenient times to get a better price,” says Roger Jewett, CEO of Jump On Flyaways. “Jump On has created an exciting, low cost and easy travel option that solves these problems.”
While consulting for an Alberta based charter airline, Jewett formed a partnership with the airline to use its fleet of 149-seat Boeing 737 aircraft to deliver the flights.
“The airline provides workforce transportation in Canada, but operates in this segment primarily from Monday to Thursday,” says Jewett. “As the aircraft are often idle on weekends (Friday to Sunday), they agreed to provide all flight related operational services for weekend getaway charters at discounted weekend rates. Jump On Flyaways promotes the charters and sells low cost tickets to consumers through our custom booking engine.”
“Jump On offers only direct flights, the best departure times and easy to understand low airfares. The Jump On business model is unique as fights only depart if the Jumping Point is reached (or approximately 80% of the seats are sold). This allows Jump On to ensure the lowest possible fares for our customers,” adds Jewett.
“We need Calgarians to Jump On and show their support for lower airfares by registering at www.gojumpOn.com. We expect to start selling our first flight to Vegas within the next few days!”
Jump On is a Canadian owned tour company that provides weekend travellers with direct flights at peak times for one low fare. Starting with service from Calgary to Las Vegas in spring 2013, Jump On will add departure cities (e.g. Edmonton) and other destinations including Vancouver, Los Angeles, Phoenix, Palm Springs, San Francisco and New Orleans as demand grows. www.gojumpon.com
