MEDIchair Sudbury’s Norm Gervais with used scooter on consignment.
Rather that throw out used home medical equipment such as walkers, rollators, wheelchairs, lift chairs and scooters, MEDIchair Sudbury is urging area caregivers and seniors think green and give them a call.
“We've added a new section to our Falconbridge Road store that we are calling MEDI Re-Store,” explains Norm Gervais, owner of MEDIchair Sudbury. “Many people don’t know what to do with slightly used Home Medical Equipment and often discard it as garbage when it can be fixed and resold to someone in need.”
The new section in the store offers discounted and gently used items, in addition to consignment products. “Everything at MEDI Re-Store has been refurbished, reconditioned, cleaned and disinfected.”
Gervais is urging Sudbury area seniors and caregivers to call the store before tossing the equipment. “In some cases,” says Gervais “we may even be able to sell the product on consignment.”
